If you happen to visit your nearest library or any bookshop, you will undoubtedly notice tons of books on productivity, leadership, success mantras, and other motivational books. You go to a party or a wedding, the person you meet want to know how successful you are and what they could learn from you right? No one really want to know how to fail successfully; and yet, almost everyone does. Does productivity, success mantra, leadership, focus, etc., seem a bit cliched word to you? Here are few tips where you don’t really have to worry about success or productivity or even time management. All you should care is to fail miserably and successfully.
- Get up late: Time management is the enemy to failure. Don’t embrace it. Being lazy is the most sure goal on falling out. Waking up early as 5:00 am is not just effective but also creates time to think and plan. I have tons of books on people proving on being really effective when they get up early and work their way out to win. The fact is that they are right. However, if you have to be in office at 9:00 am, my suggestion is for you to wake up at 8:00 am and rush out. This way, you really don’t need to sit and think. Thinking is a crime for failures and we don’t want to measure ourselves up for this task.
- Get onto social media and television: Create profiles on Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat, Instagram and other social media networks and ensure to scroll through cute cat fights and the latest funny videos of vine stars that gives you a kick to start your day with. This really helps you to stop thinking on productive stuff throughout your day. When at work, ensure that your smartphone is next to you in order to be connected with the device always. The moment you hear a beeping sound, you got to really find out who sent out that forward message. Isn’t Netflix a boon for couch potatoes like you and me? Don’t you really want to slug yourselves after coming from work to switch on your remote and follow how the actors are doing? Studies show that children less than nine years watch more than two hours of TV everyday. Isn’t that a fine way of growing up your children? Playing outdoors could result in enhancing their brain activities which then would result in good progress. This, however is bad for failures and need to stop. Constructive work should be taken away from their vocabulary and never intended to place them in their line of thought. http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/19/health/children-smartphone-tablet-use-report/index.html
- Shallow work: Embrace shallow work. While working, one must be certain of not putting your brain completely on the task and diversion is commendable. The best method is to completely stop reading books and stick on to social media instead. This would help your failures effectively. Note: Stay away from reading the book Deep Work by Cal Newport and Focus by Daniel Goleman if you prefer shallow work.
- Be obsessed about distractions: Distractions everywhere are a boon to failure. There are few things that you will need to ensure that distractions come your way. First, check if your smart phone is next to you. This way, you can fiddle with all the new messages and WhatsApp forwards to read when you are at work. Ensure that you are part of every meeting they call you. Here, you could relax and drink coffee and eat biscuits (if allowed to) and enjoy the pleasures of hearing all the blah blah talks.
- Make same mistakes repeatedly: If you think you made a mistake on one particular project or work, see to that you continue to do the same mistakes over and over again. Here, you would need to master the art of repetitiveness of mistakes.
